Job responsibilities: Possess excellent understanding of financial terms and concepts, coupled with in-depth knowledge of how the financial industry operates. Be capable of conducting research to understand the business of financial institutions and identify compliance areas applicable to these financial institutions. Have the ability to accurately interpret statutes and regulations and identify compliance obligations applicable to a financial institution. Have advanced research skills and know where to find the most up-to-date regulatory and statutory developments. Be able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and build / maintain relationships. Ensure quality control processes are in place. Be able to resolve issues and escalate where necessary. Be responsible for ensuring project management and timely delivery of reports to the relevant stakeholders. Be responsible for quality checking and auditing the work done by subordinates. Be organized and efficient – capable of handling responsibility assigned to her / him quickly, efficiently, and accurately.
