Discovering You


Whenever you attend an interview the most common question would be

“How do you rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10?” .

 To answer the question you should neither underestimate nor overestimate yourself. You can answer confidently with accuracy only when you know about your capability and also your limitation.

A person’s behaviour is shaped by family, friends, in-born quality of the person itself and the society to some extent. Hence they are the major elements to identify your complete inner self. Also, they play a continuous role in enhancing your strengths and managing your weakness. Discovering about yourself is not a “do it once” kind of a thing, It is a process at every stage of your life starting from childhood to old age where you would discover new things about yourself every day in every incidents. A person can know more about himself when he is exposed to loneliness, new environment, impossible task, dangerous situation and unpredictable changes. A complete knowledge of your body will help with good health and peaceful mind.

Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam is the greatest human who explored his capabilities and became an inspiration to all. Being born in a poor family in humble surroundings of rural Tamilnadu. Getting an education was at an unreachable height for him. But his everlasting thirst for knowledge never stopped him from discovering his inner capabilities. When he understood his family’s financial circumstances, he started working at a very tender age by distributing newspapers to support his family and studied hard to earn scholarship to complete engineering in MIT, He never stopped discovering himself which eventually landed him in ISRO. He was the only president who adored students more than his life, teaching them to identify themselves by saying his famous slogan “Dreams transform into thoughts and thoughts results in action”. No wonder he is called the people‘s president.

We all know that Sachin Tendulkar, has identified his strengths are with cricket even before he completing his school. His strong determinations and hard work has made him a cricket legend.
