About the job What we are looking for- Role: Project Manager - You will be an individual contributor Location: Remote Must Have: Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus). • 5+ years of experience managing IT projects, with proven success in delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget. • Experience managing cloud, infrastructure, software development, or enterprise application deployment projects. • Experience with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.). Skills & Competencies: • Project Management Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.) are highly preferred. • Strong technical background in IT systems, networking, software development, or infrastructure. • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams and interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. • Expertise in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, or equivalent). • Risk management and problem-solving skills to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks effectively. • Ability to manage and track multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Strong understanding of budget management and financial forecasting. • Knowledge of change management principles and practices. Preferred Experience: • Experience working in cross-functional teams across multiple geographies. • Experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. • Background in IT service management (ITIL) or other operational frameworks is beneficial. Key Responsibilities: • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals, and coordinate various technical and operational aspects to ensure project success. • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams consisting of developers, analysts, infrastructure specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within scope. • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues. • Manage expectations and foster clear communication. • Budget and Resource Management: Ensure that projects are delivered within budget constraints. Manage financial aspects of the project, including budget forecasting, monitoring, and reporting. • Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle. Implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on timelines and deliverables. • Quality Control: Establish and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet business and technical requirements. • Documentation and Reporting: Produce and maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, change logs, and postproject evaluation reports. • Vendor and Contract Management: Oversee relationships with third-party vendors, including contract negotiation, service level agreement (SLA) management, and performance tracking. • Agile/Scrum Leadership: Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings for Agile projects. Promote continuous improvement and iterative delivery within the team. • Change Management: Coordinate organizational change efforts related to project implementation, ensuring smooth transitions and end-user adoption of new systems or processes.
