JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Manager UW 

Location: Mumbai

Department: Operations & Services Function: Underwriting

Reporting to: GM /Chief Manager Band:

Key Responsibilities:

· To ensure Case UW within the given TAT
· To ensure decision within the given Authority and also approve in system (Life Asia/ Group Asia / AURA / SWIFT)
· Query Management
· Vendor Management
· Prepare and Publish MIS Measures of Performance: 
· Quality Scores/Errors 
· Underwriting TAT as per KPI 
· Feedback from stakeholders 
· Training Delivery 
· Initiatives & Automation

Required qualifications and experience : · Qualification: Graduation. (Preferred candidates with Medical / Paramedical Education or with Training in UW through ALU / III / LOMA / COMET / Other similar programs) 
· Minimum Experience of 8-9 years in insurance operations( underwriting) · Complete knowledge about underwriting guidelines. Preference is given for candidates having Underwriting experience or work experience in industries like Health Insurance/ Medical Transcription / TPA Management · Understanding of Risk Management through understanding of Medical/ Financial/ Residential / Occupational / Avocational risks · Financial Documentation Analysis (P&L, Balance Sheets, ITRs, etc) · Should possess working experience on Life Asia, Swift · Good Command and skills in MS Office
Knowledge and skills desired : · Well groomed, should have good communication skills and should be able to speak one regional language compulsorily. 
· Should have good public speaking skills, with an ability to communicate the requirements to the claimants. 
· Strong Analytical Skills 
· High on achievements and should have strong domain skills in administering this role in accordance with the Organization expectation. 
· Training the other stake holders on Underwriting guidelines within the organization
