Cosasco: https://www.cosasco.com/ Position Objective (The purpose of role in current business/market scenario): The Document Controller reports to the Project Manager and is responsible to coordinate, implement and maintain an effective document control system. In this role you will review vendor documentation specifications as raised in Purchase orders, preparation of documents, submission of documents to client via email or electronic document management system. You will be expected to accurately track pending documents through weekly progress reports to ensure that all documents are aligned with the manufacturing time frame for the project. You will work closely with Project Engineers and Quality during the inspection phase of projects to ensure that all documents are completed/ approved so that goods can be released to ship. You will work closely with finance and project engineers to ensure deliverables and actions are efficiently and effectively executed. You will utilize strong project management skills to meet project milestones that allow Cosasco to collect payment against orders. Responsibilities (KRAs / deliverables / job expectations): • Ensure documentation requirements defined within the PO contract, are properly incorporated into the engineering deliverables. • Review Project/End Client documentation specifications. • List out the required documents and documenting the project details. • Submission of documents, vendor schedules, data books & transmittals directly to customers. • Track pending documents through weekly progress reports. • Track documentation & contract deliverables progress and ensure alignment with contractual submission deadlines. • Notify and coordinating with internal & external interdisciplinary teams, taking appropriate action on pending documents. • Maintain documentation records & updates project status. • Investigate and respond to corrective actions related to documentation control. • Manage and facilitate communication across various teams to ensure the project objectives and documentation milestones are met. • Prepare documentation packages for 3rd party inspections. • Attend customer Kick-off Meetings for projects to develop an understanding of documentation requirements and build/maintain rapport with clients. • Work on project close out with the project engineers and ensure all contractual deliverables/documents have been met.
